National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (II) - 2010

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the NDA-II and Naval Academy (NA) Examination, 2009 on 22nd August, 2010 for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wing of the NDA for 126th Course and Naval Academy for 88th [10+2 Executive Branch] course commencing 30th June 2011. Only Unmarried male candidates are eligible,

Total Posts: 355 (Army-195, Navy-39, Air Force - 66, Navy Academy- 35)

Eligibility:

·        Age : Born between 2nd July, 1992 and 1st January,1995.

·        Educational Qualificatio

o       Army : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

o       Air Force, Navy and Naval Academy : 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University with Physics and Mathematics subjects

·        Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.

Fee: Rs.50/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).

How To Apply: All applications must reach the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069" either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by courier on or before the 19th April, 2010. For the candidates from remore far flung areas the last date is 26th April, 2010. Candidates can also apply Online at UPSC Online website http://upsconline.nic.in

No. F. 7/6/2009 E.1(B) An Examination will be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 22 August 2010, for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 126th Course and Naval Academy for the 88th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from 30th June 2011. The candidates joining Indian Naval Academy would undergo 4 years B Tech Course and would also be given an opportunity to join Technical Branch of the Navy subject to availability of vacancies. The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 335 (195 for the Army, 39 for Navy, 66 for the Air Force and 35 for the Executive Branch of Naval Academy).

Vacancies are provisional and may be changed depending on the availability of training capacity of NationalDefence Academy.

N.B. (i) A candidate is required to specify clearly in col. 17(I) of the Application Form the Services for which he wishes to be considered in the order of his preference. He is also advised to indicate as many preferences as he wishes to opt so that having regard to his rank in the order of merit due consideration can be given to his preferences when making appointments.
