Vicar’s Message:

My Dear Parishioners,

Warm Christmas and New Year Greetings to all of you!

Of all the explanations of Christmas one that should appeal to all of us is that it is a Family Feast. This feast brings about lot of excitement in our families right from children to the elders. It has something for every category of people, the crib, decorations, sweets, dinner but above all the celebration of and participation in the Holy Eucharist. Most of all Christmas is a family celebration because it is the feast first celebrated by the Holy Family as they welcomed their new born child, Jesus.

Unfortunately in recent years the real and true meaning of Christmas seems to have been lost sight of and the Holy Family and Jesus himself are often pushed out of the celebrations. The central person at Christmas is Jesus and nobody and nothing else. We do need external celebrations, but to forget the original meaning of Christmas is to be unchristian. It is the duty of the parents to teach their children the truth of the birth of Christ both in liturgy and in our daily life. I appeal to you not to    pass this occasion by so that the children may grow up with true Christian values.

As I wish you a happy and joyous Christmas, I pray that your families may experience the presence of Jesus who has become man for our salvation and has to revealed to us the fact of God’s love for each and every one of us

Have a great Christmas and may the New Year bring you countless blessings from above.
