5th Sunday of the Ordinary Time
1. We have completed the annual house blessings. We remain grateful to gurkars, ward representatives and volunteers who have helped us in organizing the house blessings. Due to covid, we could not bless a few houses. Kindly contact us through gurkars for the pending house blessings.
2. Currently we have offline catechism classes on Sundays. On Sunday, 20th February we will be holding catechism examination and on Sunday, 27th February we will celebrate catechism day.
3. Those of you who wish to apply for Voter ID, please meet the Catholic Sabha office bearers in Meeting Room-I, today, 6th February between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Kindly bring your Aadhar card copy, address proof, mobile No. and a passport size photo.
4. We will be publishing Izaicho Kollo during Easter. We request you to send articles and advertisements before 28th February.
5. On Saturday, 12th March we will be celebrating 400th anniversary of the canonization of our patron St Francis Xavier. As we could not hold the Parish day celebration in January, we will be combining the parish day celebration with this event. On this occasion we would like to honour those who have brought fame to our parish community. Therefore, all those who have secured 90% and above mark in SSLC, PUC and Degree courses are requested to submit their personal details with a copy of the marks card by 28th February. So also all those who have secured awards at state and national level in various competitions such as sports, games, etc., and also those who have secured 90% and above in post graduates studies and those who have completed Ph.D, kindly provide certificates of merit. a. There will be a meeting of Catholic Sabha today, 6th February at 9.30 am in S.F.X. Hall.
b. There will be a meeting of Catechism teachers today, 6th February at 10.30 am in S.F.X. Hall.
c. There will be a meeting of Izaicho Kollo editorial board on Thursday, 10th February at 5.30 pm.
d. There will be a meeting of Finance committee on Friday, 18th February at 6.00 pm in Meeting Room-I.
e. There will be a meeting of Parish Pastoral Parishad on Sunday, 20th February at 9.00 am.
7. Sunday Liturgy arrangements for the coming week:
a. Saturday: 5.00 p.m. mass – St Peter ward, Kadri
b. Sunday : 7.00 a.m. mass – Ladies Social Service League
c. Sunday : 4.30 p.m. mass – Our Lady of Lourdes ward, Battagudda
