1 kg Small Prawns

For Grinding

¼ kg.Red Chillies

2 tsp.Haldi

1 tsp.Mustard

2 tsp.Jeera

1 tsp.Pepper

½ cup Vinegar

Note: Grind all in Vinegar. Use boiled cold water when grinding the masala.

For Mincing

3 Green Chillies

1 inch Ginger

1 full pod Garlic

Salt to taste.


Clean and wash the prawns. Apply salt and turmeric powder for an hour and

keep aside. Grind the masala in vinegar and mince the green masala and keep ready.

First deep-fry the prawns in Teel oil (Gingeli).  Use the same oil in a vessel and season it

with curry leaves, 1 tsp.mustard, ginger and garlic along with the ground masala and fry

it for about 10 min.and then add prawns and leave it to cook. Once ready put off the fire.

Keep it for cooling and then bottle it.

Remember by grinding the masala in Vinegar,you preserve the prawn pickle.
